Overview
The Veritas NetBackup 10.0: Advanced Administration course provides in-depth knowledge on advanced NetBackup topics, including performance, security, disaster recovery, and application and database protection. It covers managing backups and restores for Oracle, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SharePoint, Cassandra, Hadoop, containerized applications, and Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor.
Objectives
By the end of this course, leaner will be able to:
- Secure your NetBackup environment using NetBackup security features.
- Enhance NetBackup performance by addressing bottlenecks and using performance enhancement tools.
- Prepare for disaster recovery using NetBackup MSDP cloud.
- Optimize deduplication backup performance and restore processes.
- Configure and use NetBackup for Oracle, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Hadoop, and other databases.
Prerequisites
- Familiarity with general network and storage concepts.
- Experience in administering and configuring Windows or Linux operating systems.
- One to three years of experience with basic NetBackup administration, configuration, and operation.
- Completion of any version of the NetBackup Administration course.
