Overview
The CVAD-301: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Advanced Administration (2402 LTSR) course is designed for experienced IT professionals to enhance their Citrix administration expertise. It focuses on scalability, redundancy, security, advanced troubleshooting, and optimization techniques. Participants will master App Layering for efficient image management and Workspace Environment Management (WEM) to improve performance, centralize settings, and optimize resource consumption in complex, multi-location environments.
Objectives
By the end of this course, leaner will be able to:
- Implement advanced configurations for scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
- Apply security best practices, including multi-site management and advanced authentication.
- Troubleshoot issues across StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, VDAs, and HDX connections.
- Create, manage, and integrate App Layering OS, platform, application, elastic, and user layers.
- Install, configure, and optimize Workspace Environment Management (WEM).
- Migrate on-premises WEM deployments to the WEM service.
- Integrate App Layering and WEM with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix DaaS.
Prerequisites
- Strong foundational knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, policies, profiles, networking, and hypervisors.
- Completion of CVAD-201 is recommended.
